 Tour Itinerary Day 1 - Istanbul - Thursday 23 April 2009 Welcome to Turkey. Today is your arrival day. Airport transfers are available from Ataturk International Airport during the hours of 08:00am til 10:00pm. Transfers will be made to your hotel where you will be met by your tour guide and checked into your room.
For those who have arrived in good time we have a ANZAC Party scheduled for tonight. This is an optional activity at an extra cost. Party Information
Note: Transfers from Sabiha Gokcen Airport can be arranged at extra cost. Day 2 - Gallipoli Tour - Friday 24 April 2009 (Breakfast included) - dinner is optional We depart for Gallipoli at 07:00am (4.5 hours drive). A stop will be provided on the way down for supplies. We start our tour of the Gallipoli Peninsula a little after midday. We will visit Kabatepe War Museum, ANZAC Cove, Ari Burnu, Beach Cemetery, Unknown Soldier Monument, Lone Pine Australia’s Memorial and Cemetery, Quinns Post, Turkish 57th Regiment Memorial, The Nek, the original tunnels and trenches at Johnston Jolly (Turkish and Allied), and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial and Cemetery. At approx 09:30pm we will depart to take our seats for the Dawn Service. Overnight at ANZAC Cove. Day 3 - Gallipoli Dawn Service - Saturday 25 April 2009 Dawn Service Pictures in chronological order
Don't forget your sleeping bags, warm clothes, wet weather gear and torches because Gallipoli is still as dark and cold today as it was 94 years ago when our ancestors landed. 04:30am Dawn Service at ANZAC Cove More info: ANZAC Commemorative Site 10:30am Australian National Service 11:45am Turkish National Service 01:00pm New Zealand National Service After the services at approx 03:00pm we will depart Gallipoli and drive back to Istanbul (4.5 hours drive). Day 4 - The End of your tour - Sunday 26 April 2009 (Breakfast included) Today your tour is over. Please make your own arrangements for departure remembering that your hotel will need you to check out before midday.
